Colorado Schools on Alert After 2 Attempted Abductions
Colorado schools are on high alert today after two reports of attempted luring near Hamilton Middle School in Denver.
Someone identifying themselves as a Denver school district employee tried to pick up two children this week while they were walking to the bus stop. He told the children that he was sent by the school district.
A letter sent home to parents says that in one instance a "man in a white car with red letters drove up to the child as the child was walking to the bus stop. The man told the student that he was sent by the school district to take the student to the bus stop."
School officials immediately notified Denver Police and told parents that DPS does not provide transportation to bus stops. The school district is asking parents to report any similar incidents or vehicles to police.
