The population in Colorado is growing. Most people have to commute to work, school, or wherever they are going, and it seems like every road and highway in Northern Colorado is getting more congested every day.

When I was growing up, my mom would always find her own routes that she promised were faster. Were they? I had no idea. There were no resources like Waze or Apple Maps back in the day.

If You Are on 257, Can You Please Open Your Eyes?

I do not have a ton of driving pet peeves. I would consider myself a pretty easygoing driver. Driving on 257 definitely tests my patience. I use 257 north and south daily since I commute from Fort Collins to Windsor.

If you commute on 257, can you please pay attention and take a look at the speed limit signs? Leaving Windsor, there are not one but six different speed limits. It starts at 30 and grows to 65. I do not know if people are looking at their phones, flossing their teeth, or watching a Denver Broncos game, but it seems like nobody is ever aware that the speed limit goes up.

I am beyond annoyed daily when I am stuck behind somebody who won't look to the right for two seconds to look at a speed limit sign to see how fast they should be going.

There isn't any traffic either. Just pay attention, please.

Well, I feel better now.
