Colorado Restaurant a Finalist on Guy Fieri’s ‘Grocery Games’
The show, Grocery Games, gives contestants 30 minutes to create a dish with some interesting results.
Skirted Heifer, a Colorado Springs restaurant have made it to the finals of this foodie show, and with their unique way to make burgers, they have a real shot at winning the top prize.
The restaurant's owners, a mother, and son first appeared on Guy Fieri's show Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives and did so well they were invited back for this competition.
The name Skirted Heifer comes from the way they cook their burgers, smothering them in Wisconsin Cheddar and leaving the huge skirt of cheese that forms around the burger on it when they serve it. Can you say delicious?
Grocery Games is a fun comp[etition that tests the abilities of the contestants to create something delicious and edible out of the ingredients you get from running around the store collecting them.
I have watched this show a number of times and I am always amazed at the things they come up with.
And with a Colorado restaurant in the finals, you know it will be fun and delicious.
The show will be on the Food Network on January 23 at 7 pm.
