In case you're not familiar, a rattlesnake den in an undisclosed part of Colorado is being studied by scientists with livestreamed video that watches the reptiles 24/7. However, not only is the live stream viewed by the researchers, but a special YouTube channel is set up so that the public, if they so choose, can tune in and see the snakes' activity live as well.

Colorado's Most Famous Rattlesnakes Are Back

While most of the snakes that you'll find in Colorado are relatively harmless to humans, a bite from a rattlesnake can prove to be catastrophic. With this in mind, it comes as no surprise that Project Rattlecam chooses to study a massive rattlesnake den from a distance.

The camera was installed just outside of the rattlesnake den by researchers at California Polytechnic State University last May, and now that the state's climate is inching closer toward summer temperatures, the snakes are once again making appearances on the livestream.

The exact location of the rattlesnake den is not public knowledge, for obvious reasons, but those interested in seeing the snakes' daily activity can pull up the streaming video at any time.

Take a look at what the rattlesnakes, which have been estimated to be as many as 2,000, are up to right now by visiting the streaming video here.
