However, it is rather surprising to find out that the favorite grocery store in Colorado is not listed as the most popular in any other state in the nation.

Colorado's Most Popular Grocery Store is an Outlier

Studies show that the most popular grocery store in Colorado is Sprouts Farmers Market, a chain that carries food items that may cost a little extra but are, by and large, on the healthier side.

Colorado is home to 38 brick-and-mortar locations of the grocery chain, and while other states have Sprouts Farmers Market stores, the chain is only listed as the most popular in the Centennial State.

If we travel west, we find that Albertsons is the favorite grocery chain in states like Utah, Wyoming, Nevada, Oregon, and Washington, as well as southern states like Texas and New Mexico.

In addition, many states in the Midwest favor Hy-Vee, a brand not represented in Colorado, alongside Kroger, Food Lion, Safeway, and Trader Joe's, which also appear on the list of most-favored grocery chains in several states.
