A puppy form the Colorado Animal Welfare League shelter will be on the "field" for this year's Puppy Bowl.

Animal Planet's "Puppy Bowl" has become quite the event, now with over 90 adoptable puppies from 48 shelters from across the country. The fist "bowl" game was in 2005. My son was little at the time and he loved the Puppy Bowl. Our big yellow lab was his buddy but he loved watching the puppies playing on Super Bowl Sunday. I would have to flip over during the commercials. I admit it, I enjoyed watching it too.

Vaughn is Colorado's representative in this year's game. He'll go toe to toe in the matchup between "Team Ruff" and "Team Fluff." So take a few minutes this "Big Game" Sunday and root for Vaughn! He'll be battling his opponents in hopes of taking home the "Lombarky Trophy"!

I have some great news since the taping of Puppy Bowl XIV I am happy to report that Vaughn has been adopted and is living a happy life in his new home.

The Puppy Bowl air on February 4, at 1 p.m., mountain time on Animal Planet. Go, Vaughn Go!
