Event Hope’s To Help Grand Junction’s Cat Problem
There's a cat overpopulation problem in Grand Junction. The city and the Grand Valley Cat Coalition are hosting a free neuter/spay event.
This weekend if you live in town between 12th and Riverside Parkway and North Avenue you can get a cat spay or neuter for free. Animal Planet star Dr. Jeffrey Young from Planned Pethood Plus will be on-site us for this special event!
If you have a cat that you'd like to have spay or neuter you're asked to call the Grand Valley Cat Coalition at 970-261-3760 and let them. You'll need to bring your cat(s) to Roice-Hurst Humane Society on Saturday, January 13th at 1 pm and/or on Sunday, the 14th at 11 am.
If you don't own a cat, you can still help out. The GVCC needs volunteers to help trap, transport, and assist on-site. This is the first year for this special event. Find out more info about this and the Grand Valley Cat Coalition on Facebook.
