Colorado Man Places 15th at National Mullet Championships
The results are in and Colorado has an impressive finish in the Men's Open Division of the 2021 National Mullet Championships.
While we didn't have as strong a showing as states like Alabama and Kentucky (imagine that), Colorado did bring their A Game with an impressive finish in the top 20. It was a tough competition featuring some remarkable competitors. Take a look at the 2021 finalists.
The National Mullet Championship is No Laughing Matter
Okay, yes it is. Then again, this can be some serious stuff. I know grown men who take their mullets very seriously.

What Exactly is a Mullet?
You can take your pick of a couple of popular definitions for "mullet." According to Merriam-Webster:
- any of a family (Mugilidae) of chiefly marine bony fishes with an elongate rather stout body
- a hairstyle in which the hair is short on the sides and top and long at the back
Several Divisions to Choose From
Don't think for a minute this competition is limited to just men. There's a Children's division, and even a Femullet division.
Kudos to our Colorado finalist Reis Caldwell. He was up against some stiff competition. Check out the gallery and you'll see he was up against reps from mullet-savvy states like Kentucky and Alabama. Oddly, states such as Wisconsin and Michigan had strong showings in this event.
