However, this year a pretty hefty theft was reported which spoiled a lot of the fun for the victims and have police on the lookout for the criminals.

A Theft at Telluride Blues and Brews Festival

According to reports, a group of concertgoers was camping near the festival and after walking away from their campsite, returned to find numerous items stolen. The items include a $6,000 mountain bike, a tent, four sleeping bags, a pair of shoes, and a helmet. Altogether, the stolen items were worth over $11,000.

Telluride Police Ask For Help

When asked about the theft, San Miguel County Sherriff Bill Masters said that he doesn't believe the incident to be isolated, as the town of Telluride has seen an alarming increase in this kind of criminal activity as of late.

It should also be noted that the theft was likely planned as whoever stole the items had some kind of bolt cutters or similar tools with them to cut the bike's chain.

Anyone with information is encouraged to reach out to the San Miguel County Sheriff's Office.
