Colorado Mountain Winefest Sets New Attendance Record

Saturday in Riverbend Park in Palisade a crown of over 5,840 people came out for the 22nd annual Colorado Mountain Winefest. That is more that double the population of the town of Palisade.

The attendance number sets a new record for the 22-year-old event. The festival was helped by a great day of weather. The days leading up to the event had been wet but the rain broke off at the right time and everyone with cabin fever came out to party.

Over 600 pounds of grapes were needed for the annual grape stomp. How much toe jam made it into the wine?

Over 423 different wines were served to a huge crowd from 47 different wineries. I tried as many as could but there were a ton of wines.

People from 38 states came to Western Colorado to enjoy Winefest and let tell you they had a great time.

The 23rd annual Colorado Mountain Winefest will take place the weekend of September 18-21 2014 at Riverbend Park in Palisade. I can't wait.
