Colorado Kidnap Victim Calls Police From Trunk of Car
A man in Colorado Springs was kidnapped on Saturday and helped police rescue him from inside the trunk.
Just before midnight on Saturday, Colorado Springs Police received a call from a kidnap victim who was calling them from the trunk of the car he was put in. The victim said he was assaulted by several suspects before they threw him into the trunk of the vehicle and took off.
As the car kept moving the victim stayed on the phone with the police and the car was ultimately met by police.
As they approached the car they heard a gunshot from inside the vehicle and found an adult male wounded from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The suspect was taken to the hospital but died from his injuries.
The victim was found in the trunk and was also taken to the hospital and treated for minor injuries and was released.
