An 18-year-old seriously injured a young child and several other family members of the child during a shooting in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

According to a press release from the Colorado Springs Police Department, on Saturday, April 02, 2022, two shootings involving the same shooter were reported.

Colorado Springs Shooter Injures 4

At approximately 6:03 PM  a shooting in the 2500 block of Astrozon Circle in Colorado Springs occurred. A man who was on foot is reported to have begun firing shots into an occupied home.

The occupants told KKTV that they had previously reported incidents of violence in the neighborhood to police and were seeking assistance.

After the initial shooting, some of the occupants of the home piled into a truck to follow the suspect.

The man continued to shoot and seriously injured one of the passengers of the truck, a 12-year-old boy.

The child was shot nine times in multiple locations such as the face, neck, leg, and numerous other places.

Who is the Colorado Springs Shooting Suspect?

The suspect has been identified as 18-year-old Estevan Pacheco, a man well-known to his victims.

Pachecho also received multiple injuries during the scuffle and was even run over by the family's truck. Pachecho has since been taken into custody for attempted first-degree murder.

Currently, Pachecho is incarcerated in the El Paso County Jail on a $50,000 bond.

A gofundme has since been created for the victims of Pachecho and reports that the family is currently homeless.

The 12-year-old is reported to be in critical condition, and the family is asking for prayers from those not in a position to donate.
