Are the Batteries of the Future Being Made Right Now in Colorado?
It may come as a surprise to learn just how many great, innovative inventions have come out of Colorado, and if history tells us anything, there are likely plenty more to come.
Now, a company based in Colorado is producing batteries that may rival any past competitors and plans to expand operations a great deal in the near future.
Is a Colorado Company Making the Batteries of the Future?
Technology has come a long way in the past few decades, and it feels like advancements are being made at a much greater speed than ever before. Because of this, it's not uncommon to walk around a store like Best Buy and spot something that looks straight out of a movie based centuries into the future.
You may not be familiar with the Colorado-based company called Forge Nano, but there's a good chance you will be.
Forge Nano, whose headquarters is at 12300 Grant St #110 in Thornton, Colorado, specializes in things that could very well have been imagined for one of the Men in Black movies.
One of the biggest projects Forge Nano is currently working on is called Atomic Armor, an innovative new technology that when used to create batteries, namely Lithium-ion batteries, improves upon them greatly.
The company's Lithium-ion batteries have a high energy density, last longer, and charge faster than your standard battery. Plus, the Atomic Armor makes them much more fire-resistant.
It has recently been reported that Forge Nano has raised $50 million from investors which will go toward building a new facility to hopefully mass produce their innovative batteries in the near future.
