As more and more people get vaccinated for COVID-19, doctors are learning more and more about the body's response to it, including bizarre side effects.

A Colorado Medical Editor for CBS4, Dr. Dave Hnida does a weekly question and answer broadcast for the Denver TV station, where he outlined some of the normal, and more abnormal side effects his patients have reported to him.

He attributes the side effects to the body's immune system's response to the vaccine, which can vary greatly from person to person. While most experience side effects such as aches, pains, and fatigue, Hnida also talked about some more uncommon and strange side effects, such as what's known as 'COVID arm:'

What happens here is about five to seven days after you are vaccinated, you get this rash and it can down your whole arm, the arm you were vaccinated in. It’s an itchy rash and you think, ‘Oh my gosh, what is going on here?’ It really is just a delayed reaction from your immune system.

Another side effect Hnida talked about is what is known as 'metal mouth:'

People, literally within in a couple of minutes of getting their vaccine to a day or so after, just taste like they’ve got a lot of coins in their mouths, a really metallic taste.

Finally, perhaps the most bizarre side effect to affect certain people who have taken the vaccine has been related to dreams about hovercrafts, space exploration, and more:

Flying to the moon, planting the flag on the moon. Even somebody going out and taking Abraham Lincoln to get a Big Mac and having the staff want him to autograph the bills. We really think it has something to do with the immune response. They are temporary.
