Camp sites in Colorado State Parks are filling fast. If camping is part of your plan for Labor Day weekend, you better act fast!

With advanced reservations now an option the parks are filling fast. Colorado Parks & Wildlife report that most are nearing capacity. The parks over here on the western slope have more sites available but those near Denver and the other major metros on the front range are practically sold out.

You can book sites three days in advance so you have until the end of the day today to secure your spot for a Friday arrival. At the moment, Vega State Park still have several sites available. Even with the forecasted higher gas prices, Colorado is expecting large crowds on Labor Day weekend for summer's last blast.

I hopped on the CP&W site and searched the State Parks nearest to Grand Junction and over half were already sold out. James M Robb, Highline, and Crawford were sold out. There were sites left for Vega and Rifle Gap. For the latest info and to make a reservation click HERE.
