When you hang a hammock in the backyard, one of the last you expect relaxing days swinging, a place for a restful retreat, or perhaps a spot to meditate and collect your thoughts...something you DON'T expect is finding a buck tangled up in it.

That's EXACTLY what happened to some residents down in Durango when they walked outside recently and discovered the animal struggling to free itself.

Thankfully, he was cut loose. This is also a good reminder because 'tis the season for wild animals to be roaming around and according to Colorado Parks and Wildlife,  it would be a good idea to remove anything around your property that could tangle up wildlife especially things like Christmas lights/decorations, any kind of netting and of course...hammocks.
