Since 2013, Breckenridge, Colorado, and Park City, Utah, have been competing over the world record for the longest shot ski.

Colorado vs. Utah Rivalry: What is a Shot Ski?

In case you’re not familiar, a shot ski is literally a ski, modified to hold shot glasses. Once the glasses are filled with alcohol, four participants tilt the ski to drink the booze together.

History of Colorado + Utah Ski Towns’ Rivalry

Breckenridge first introduced the longest shot ski challenge in 2013, setting the record with 192 participants and 60 skis. While the record is not part of the Guinness Book of World Records, as the record keepers don’t accept entries related to alcohol, the two towns have been keeping track independently.
