Of course, many of these laws address topics involved with hunting and fishing and while one pond is extremely popular for its bass fishing, it's important to follow the strict rules put into place.
Colorado Pond Known for Bass Fishing Has Strict Rules
The pond is located just outside of Longmont, Colorado at St. Vrain State Park; a pond known as Bald Eagle Pond.
A recent Facebook post from the official page of St. Vrain State Park took advantage of a viral, albeit somewhat vulgar meme's popularity to spell out the rules associated with bass fishing at Bald Eagle Pond.
As you'll find above, only lures and flies are permitted at the pond and bait is strictly prohibited.
In addition, any largemouth bass caught at Bald Eagle Pond must be immediately released. However, according to the official website of Colorado Parks and Wildlife, anglers are permitted to keep any white bass or wiper they catch from the pond.
As you'll see below, St. Vrain State Park is home to numerous bodies of water in addition to Bald Eagle Pond, but regardless of where you fish, it's vital to know and follow the rules.
