It's an absolutely beautiful drive down 141 to Gateway. It's only about 53 miles to the front door of the museum from Grand Junction, and inside are more than 50 reasons to come check this place out.

The Drive to Gateway Colorado

I had never been down Colorado Highway 141 before and everything you read about it is true. It's one of the most scenic 50 miles of road I've seen so far and includes Nine Mile Hill that is part of the Unaweep Tabeguache Scenic Byway that will take you from Whitewater to Placerville.

Believe it or not, the cars you are about to see are all part of the privately owned collection of cars that belong to John Hendrix. John's love for classic cars matched his love for Gateway Canyon, so he decided the museum there would be a great place to display his collection. We hope you enjoy the tour.
