CMU Student’s Bike Stolen Two Days After Classes Start
A Colorado Mesa University student is suddenly without wheels after only two days of classes courtesy of a thief who stole a bicycle from a campus bike rack.
The theft happened just after 2:50 a.m. on Wednesday, August 23. The bicycle, a black and gray Specialized Rockhopper Comp with 29-inch tires, was parked in the east bike rack at Pinon Hall on the CMU campus. The bicycle is worth over $800.
Authorities retrieved a photo of the suspect (pictured) from a nearby surveillance camera.
