Christopher ‘Dr. Death’ Duntsch Has Many Ties to Colorado

A new series on Peacock detailing the horrific acts of former doctor Christopher Duntsch, also known as "Dr. Death," has become quite popular for true crime buffs. The limited series, appropriately titled "Dr. Death," stars Joshua Jackson as the title character as well as Alec Baldwin and Christian Slater as the two doctors that help take Jackson's character down.

If you've seen the film series, you likely noticed the numerous references to Colorado as prior to his (spoiler alert) incarceration, Duntsch spent a considerable amount of time in the Centennial State.

Dr. Death Attends Colorado State University

The first mention of Dr. Death spending time in Colorado takes place during his college where he played football at Colorado State University in Fort Collins. Dr. Death portrays Duntsch as an arrogant yet inferior player which is how his former teammates have described him as a Ram as well.

Dr. Death Leaves Colorado, Commits Atrocities

Duntsch left CSU after failing to become the star football player he'd hoped for and returned home to Tennessee. Not to spoil the events of the series, Duntsch ended up practicing medicine, poorly, causing incredible pain and grief to many, then eventually returned to Colorado.

Dr. Death's Time in Denver, Colorado

After failing as a surgeon and in life in general, Duntsch returned to Colorado to live with his father in Centennial, a suburb of Denver on the southern border of the metro area.

It was during this period that Dr. Death was arrested for driving under the influence before hopping on a plane to visit his son and ex-girlfriend in Texas where (spoiler alert) he was arrested for crimes much more serious than DUI.
