The legendary Mexican restaurant on Colfax may be having financial problems as many employees are wondering what's happened to the money they've earned.

Casa Bonita, in Lakewood, has been around since 1974 and has become a 'must-see' place when friends and family come to visit.

9News talked with an employee who stated that the paychecks that employees picked up after the COVID-19 shutdown, bounced due to the dreaded 'Insufficient Funds.'

Hopefully, Casa Bonita can benefit from the $2.2 trillion stimulus package and remain on their feet. It would be a shame to see the iconic restaurant fade away.
