Sunday in 9-on-7 drills the Denver Broncos lost center Dan Koppen for the season. The 11-year veteran was caught in a pile early in the workout and was carted off the field and taken for an MRI, which revealed the season-ending injury. Koppen had just rejoined Denver after the set back to J.D. Walton’s comeback from ankle surgery.

Manny Ramirez, who took most of the snaps at center during Denver's off season practices, stepped in for Koppen when he left the field. Left guard Zane Beadles was the only starting lineman to come out of last season unscathed. Ryan Clady, Orlando Franklin and Chris Kuper are all coming off surgeries and will be slow to get up to speed.

I think the Broncos will try to find a lineman who can give them a little flexibility on the line. Ramirez can play center for now but he goes down they will someone to step up, so expect them to sign a guy who can play the line period.
