Body Found in Eagle River Identified as Missing 3-Year-Old
The body that was found in the Eagle River on Friday has been identified as the 3-year-old boy who had been missing for over a month, Sebastian Rodriguez Castro.
On Friday, June 5, 3-year-old Sebastian Rodriguez Castro was reported missing from the Eagle Villas apartments in Eagle, according to CBS4. Hundreds of people went searching for this little boy and sadly, and the phone he was carrying was found in the Eagle River as well as a piece of his clothing, which runs right behind Eagle Villas apartments.
Unfortunately, almost a month later, the 3-year-old's body was just found.
According to 9News, the little boy's body was found by someone who was on some kind of watercraft on the Eagle River. Sebastian's body was recovered east of Dotsero. The cause of death is drowning and the manner is accidental, according to the Eagle County Coroner's Office.
The County Coroner Kara Bettis stated this, according to 9News:

This is absolutely heartbreaking news, we can't imagine losing our son, or brother, or grandson, or nephew. Sweet Sebastian was only 3 years old with so much life left to live. There's currently a GoFundMe page set up for the family and our thoughts go out to Sebastian's family.
