I shared yesterday my Saturday afternoon hike along the Warner Trail inside The Black Canyon Of The Gunnison National Park. There's just too much here to try and cover in one short post. I get it, you locals already know about this amazing place. It's new to me and there's so much to see and do here. I believe you can visit a dozen times and never experience the same thing twice.

One afternoon certainly isn't enough time. If I didn't have this little radio show to do every afternoon, I'd be back over there getting all I can out of my 7-day pass.

A reminder this year's final free National Park day is coming up in just over a month. November 11th, Veteran's Day 2016 is your last chance to take advantage of the year-long celebration of our National Parks.

The view from behind the visitor's center is flat out incredible. You can see the river roaring below and the view from the edge is crazy. It's a bit intimidating leaning over the rail and looking down.

There's so much to do. Camping, hiking, fishing, rock climbing, rafting, horseback riding, and much more. This time of year is awesome too. With the gambel (scrub) oaks all yellow and red, the fall colors just add extra beauty to an already mind blowing place.

Well, I think I've made my case for a visit. Time for a road trip to the Black Canyon Of The Gunnison. You'll be very glad you did. The Black Canyon rocks!
