First of all, if you've only become familiar with Crested Butte during ski season, you already know where the main chairlift is. Well, the chairlift also operates in the summer, giving visitors an amazing, high-altitude view of the ski mountain in full bloom.

In addition, downtown Crested Butte is a fun place to hang out and enjoy Apres Ski activities, but it is perhaps even more fun to visit in the summer. There are plenty of food and drink options, the old buildings are painted in vibrant colors, and Elk Street is lined with colorful flowers.

You can also head just outside of the town and visit places like Judd Falls, as well as Kebler Pass. In fact, Kebler Pass is only open in the summer, so you'll want to check it out before the first snowfall.
