Stories like this are exactly what we need to hear as we get closer to wrapping up this very unusual and difficult year of 2020. No one could have ever predicted some of the obstacles that we would have to overcome this year, but we all continue to do our best. And while some have struggled more than others, you have also seen lots of generosity this year with communities like ours in Western Colorado coming together to support local.

And just yesterday on The Salvation Army Grand Junction Facebook page I found some of the best news that I have heard all year. There is an anonymous donor who has decided to help out in a big way this year, and will match donations in their virtual kettle up to $10,000!

This is so kind of the anonymous donor but it also means we need to do our part and help out this tremendous organization as well. The easiest way for you to make a donation to the Salvation Army in Grand Junction is to click here. You can help out without having to drive anywhere, just make your donation now.

Of course, everyone wants to know how the Red Kettle campaign is doing so far, and to be honest it's off to a slow start. There have been 3 people who have donated with a total of $400 collected. With the anonymous donors matching contributions we are still only at $800, with the goal being $25,000.

There is a lot of work to be done, but we can make it happen.
