A lot of us buy Girl Scout Cookies - partly because we love to eat them, and partly because we want to support the Girl Scouts. But now, cookie sales are done for the year, so what can you do to support these young ladies? Thanks for asking, I have the answer.

For the third year, the Girl Scouts are hosting an adult-only event at Two Rivers Winery called Cocktails and Cookies Creations. The valley's finest chefs have been challenged to create savory appetizers using Girl Scouts' famous cookies. Can you say, "yum!"

This event continues to evolve from year to year,  and this year promises to be the best one yet. These delicious creations are complimented by decadent wines, craft beers, and peach Street Cocktails. The evening also includes live entertainment by Miss Emily, a silent auction, and a live display of vintage Girl Scout uniforms.

Participating chefs include: Josh Niernberg - Bin 707 Foodbar; Christopher Boyd -No Coast Suchi; Zane Lawson - Cowboy and the Rose; Wayne Smith - WCC Culinary School; Tiffany Nash - Sud's Brother's Brewery; Jonathan Rashleigh - CRAVING; and Brunella Gualerzi - il bistro.

This event, hosted by U.S. Bank. sold out last year so you will want to get your tickets early.  Make it a date night! Tickets are $50 and available at the Girl Scout office, at Crossroads Wine and Spirits, or by calling Cindi Graves at 970-628-8003.
