Colorado Parks & Wildlife made it easier to purchase everything you need before heading out on their next adventure.

Online purchases are nothing new to Colorado Parks & Wildlife, but now with one-stop shopping, you can get everything you need, from licenses and camping reservations to merchandise.

You can still buy licenses in person from participating merchants, but the entire online experience should make the whole process more convenient and efficient.

Before you go shopping, here are five things you should know.

  • What Can You Buy At the New Online Store?

It's one stop shopping, so that means you can get hunting and fishing licenses, park passes, camping reservations, Colorado Outdoor Magazine, hats, and other merchandise.

  • You Need an Account

You have to have an account and so to register you go to CPWShop.com. The starting point for registration may be different for various users depending upon your past purchase history, so once you get into the store you can navigate to the correct starting point.

  • Not Sure If You Have an Account?

It is possible with this new system to establish a duplicate account. That's not good because it will end up locking you out because it won't know which one to use. So, to avoid that hassle, there is a look up feature you can utilize to determine if you already have an account or not.

  • You Must Have Proof of State Residency

For most people, their valid Colorado drivers license will be sufficient. However, if your license was issued or renewed less than six months prior to your purchase or application, you'll have to provide other forms of identification and proof of residency. These are outlined on the CP& W website.

  • Advance Camping Reservations

It's a new system, but the old rule still applies. Your reservation must fall within six months of the date the reservation is made. If you have reserved previously online, you can use your existing email and password to access the system. If you are reserving for the first time, you will need to establish an account.
