I have no doubt that Fruita, Palisade and Grand Junction are awesome places to live. But, I think Clifton rocks. It's where my family decided to put down roots when we moved to the area. One thing I've noticed since landing in town is that other parts of the area like to make fun of Clifton. So, here are five reasons why I think Clifton is awesome.

5. We have no mannequins holding signs. For some reason, every other suburb/city around here puts mannequins out on street corners. Clifton needs no fake people to hold signs. We make real people do that.

4. We have horses and chickens and we're not afraid to show them off. Most towns keep their livestock on farms. In Clifton, if we have a fancy cow, we'll put it in our front yard.

3. We don't need our own radios to listen to music. Nope, in Clifton, other cars in our neighborhood will have their radios up plenty loud enough for us to listen too. Free music means a win in Clifton!

2. Palisade peach orchards are within walking distance. Not that we would ever just take a peach without paying for it. But, there are benefits to being so close to so much orange goodness.

1. We have the gravity-defying Exit 37 and you don't. Most of the other exits in the Grand Junction area are typical boring normal speed limit exits. Not so in Clifton. Most of our cars don't have paint on the left side thanks to Exit 37.
