Many listeners called in this morning (Sept. 13th) to report they had seen an object over the sky south of Grand Junction explode. Find out what it was.

After several phone calls from listeners claiming it was jets maneuvering, or a stunt plane practicing, and one positive that it had been a rocket blowing up, I left a message for the Grand Junction Regional Airport for more info, as of right now I'm  still waiting.

But thanks to one of our listeners Brain Blosser, we have the facts.

According to AZ Central a contrail from a missile launched from New Mexico early this morning generated phone calls from Phoenix to Tuscon to Las Vegas and all the way into the Grand Valley!

Apparently a 40' missile was launched from Fort Wingate and a Patriot Advanced Capability 3 Missile was launched to intercept it.
