The Denver based Furniture Row Racing team visits The White House.

2017 NASCAR Champion Martin Truex Jr and the #78 Toyota Camry team was honored at The White House today. "Never give up" is the team's motto and despite adversity, the NASCAR racing team won it's first championship last November at Homestead-Miami Speedway in South Florida.

The team battled through the loss of crew member Jim Watson and Martin's girlfriend, Sherry Pollex's fight against cancer. The 37-year-old won 8 races last season to secure the NASCAR Championship. Racing is a family affair for the Truex's. His father Martin Truex Sr was a race car driver. His little brother, Ryan, is a NASCAR Pro Series East Division Champion and runs in the Xfinity Series. The team is owned and sponsored by Denver Colorado's Furniture Row, a US furniture store chain. They are the only NASCAR team headquartered west of the Mississippi.
