DENVER (AP) — A monster overhaul of Colorado's school-funding process faces its first test in the state Legislature today.

The sweeping plan to rewrite public school financing is due for a vote in the Senate Education Committee.

The panel met late into the night poring through the biggest and most complicated bill of the 2013 session.

The bill aims to repair Colorado's complex formula for funding public K-12 education.
