I am not sure that the people of CDOT have ever actually been high. At least the people who created the new TV ads that debuted yesterday (March 6th) in an effort to stop stoned driving.

The ads for the ‘Drive High, Get a DUI‘ campaign came with a million dollar price tag, and don't even show what happens if you smoke pot and drive. Instead they show stereotypical, almost movie-like, scenes of dudes almost unable to function while high. Then the ads go on to say that doing whatever activity portrayed is now legal, but driving isn't...

Not sure about you, but every stoner I have been around makes a damn good steak!

...And from what I understand, half of the NBA is stoned every night. Never have I seen them do this...

This is the state’s first effort to remind drivers that pot should be treated like alcohol and not used before driving since marijuana was legalized to medical patients in 2012.
