Metallica Sit Down for Interview + Perform ‘Hit the Lights’ on ‘Craig Ferguson’
Metallica kicked off their week-long residency at 'The Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson' last night, pulling out a classic track from Metallica's debut album, 'Kill 'Em All.' Even cooler, frontman James Hetfield and drummer Lars Ulrich sat down with Ferguson for a very long interview by talk show standards.
Craig Ferguson is currently hosting his final season of 'The Late Late Show,' so to help make Ferguson's farewell season extra special, Metallica chose to spend a week in Los Angeles with the talk show host.
Last night (Nov. 18), Hetfield and Ulrich spent a full 15 minutes on Ferguson's guest chairs. The duo discussed all things Metallica, including the band's beginnings, Ulrich's superfandom of Motorhead, performing in Antarctica and much more.
After the interview portion of Metallica's guest appearance, the band took the 'Late Late Show' stage to perform 'Hit the Lights,' the iconic opening track to 'Kill 'Em All.' It was solid as can be, so make sure to check that out in the clip above.
Metallica are currently working on their 10th studio album, which is expected to drop sometime in 2015. Stay tuned to Loudwire for all your Metallica news!
