Grand Junction Historic Site Celebrates 30th Annual Spring Day
The Museums of Western Colorado will celebrate the 30th annual Spring Day on the Farm May 7th at the Cross Orchards Historic Site in Grand Junction.
Spring Day on the Farm is a great family event which marks the official opening of the site for the summer season. The event goes from 9AM until 3PM.
The day features lots of old-time demonstrations including blacksmithing and woodworking, plus a variety of booths and vendors. It’s like stepping back in time with historic buildings, equipment, and costumes.
New participants for this year’s Spring Day include Mesa County Library, the CSU Extension Office, and the F.A.R.M. Farmers Market. There will be 4H members there with their animals and it will be a good time to see the new apple trees that have been planted.
Admission for the event is $5 for adults, $4 for seniors, and $3.50 for kids ages 3-12, or $15 for a family of up to six people.Members of the Museums of Western Colorado get in free. Cross Orchards Historic Site is located at 3073 F Road in Grand Junction.
