GJ Rockies Looking For A Bat Boy Or Bat Girl

Being at the ball park watching a baseball game is pretty cool. Being at the ball park and being a part of the game is really cool. And that dream is going to come true for the youngster who is selected to be a bat boy or bat girl for the Grand Junction Rockies.

The Rockies are currently taking applications from candidates 15 years of age and older. The duties of the position include cleaning cleats, collecting bats, and chasing balls. Of course, the really cool thing is getting to be on the field and in the dug out with the players.

The deadline for submitting applications is Friday, July 26th. Candidates are asked to write in 50 words or less why they should be the next bat boy bat girl for the Rockeis.The winner will be announced during the game on Sunday, July 28th against Idaho Falls.
