Getting Ready For My First Pork and Hops
The weather couldn't be any more perfect! The sun's shining and it's time for the 10th Annual Pork and Hops challenge! I was at Lincoln Park setting up this afternoon and the place was buzzing with activity. There's no reason to stay home. Ice cold beer, barbeque, and live music. Grab a blanket and come on out.
The live music gets started tonight at 6 with the Williams Brothers Band. RyanShupe and The RubberBand hit the stage at 8:30. I've not seen these guys, but what I've heard sounds pretty good. They secured a record deal back in 2005 and a hit or two on the charts. Besides, any band with a banjo, bouzouki, mandolin, and a ukulele in the mix, deserves a listen.
Of course, there's the barbeque. As I've shared before, I'm a Kansas City native, where barbeque's a religion, and every few weeks or so I get a serious jones going. I'm looking to fixing my habit Friday evening.
Be sure and drop by the 95 Rock tent. Sign up to win Winefest tickets and other goodies. It's finally here and time to head to the show. Also, save yourself a headake by using the shuttle parking. Shuttle Service will be running their Park & Ride Services from the following locations: Residence Inn 767 Horizon Drive and The Courtyard, 765 Horizon Drive. Shuttle times are between 4PM and 11PM both Friday and Saturday. Pork and Hops, rocks!
