We have already seen that D.J. Williams has been dropped by the Denver Broncos. Williams was a first round draft pick back in 2004 and was scheduled to pull in $6 million this season. This is a move that the Broncos have been expecting to do for a while. Williams missed much of the 2012 season due to suspensions and recorded just 14 tackles by the end of the season. I will agree with the Broncos that $6 million is way to much to pay a guy who had only 14 tackles and is going to ride the bench most of the season. There are a few teams that are interested in Williams like the Raiders, Redskins, Patriots, Ravens and Falcons.

The Broncos reported last night that Elvis Dumervil has requested his release by the opening of free agency if they can't come to a deal. The Denver Broncos are looking to pay Dumervil less money than he wants for the 2013 season. The Broncos want to cut Dumervil's $12 million salary he is expected to make in the 2013 season. Dumervil let the league in sacks in 2009 with 17 and missed most of 2010 with a torn pectoral. The Broncos paid him $14 million in 2011 when he had 9 1/2 sacks and another $14 million in 2012 when he had 11 sacks and 6 forced fumbles. I really hope that the Broncos and Dumervil can come to an agreement. This is one pass rusher the Broncos do not want to get rid of.

If Dumervil does not take the cut the Denver Broncos are looking to sign former teammate of Peyton Manning Dwight Freeney from Indianapolis. The Broncos are also looking at singing Running Back Rashard Mendenhall for a low price. Mendenhall would fit well into the Broncos scheme. They are also looking for more depth at Corner Back with prospects like Chris Gamble and Dunta Robinson. I would like to see the Broncos go for Steven Jackson from the Rams but it looks like the Falcons are trying pretty hard to get Jackson to sign there.

That is a look at whats going on for the Broncos during the free agency. What do you think of all the prospects the Broncos are looking at getting? Anyone in particular you would like to see the Broncos acquire?
