Denver Broncos 2014 Super Bowl Champion Shirts Sent To Africa
So now another ugly reminder of the humiliation that was Super Bowl XLVIII as the news comes down that the Denver Broncos Super Bowl Champion shirts have been sent to Africa.
If you watched this year's Super Bowl to the end - and nobody could blame you if you didn't - you probably saw Seattle players donning Super Bowl Champion shirts immediately after the game. Mighty presumptuous of them, don't you think?
But, wait! Guess what? The Denver Broncos also had Super Bowl shirts printed and ready to go in the event they won the game. Unfortunately, all of those shirts and caps had to stay in the boxes they were shipped in. But, where are those clothes today? What happens to championship apparel when the team fails to arise victorious?
According to Yahoo, all of the useless Bronco gear has been shipped off to Africa to be given to poor people via World Vision. At least someone will get some good out of the merchandise, which is way better than letting it go to waste. You just hope that one of these poor chaps doesn't end up on Jeopardy or Who Wants to Be a Millionaire and has to answer a question about who the Super Bowl champion was in 2014. He might think that since he's wearing a shirt that says the Broncos were champions of Super Bowl XLVIII, the Broncos must, in fact, be the champions.
