It's my new prize possession. I had recently bought myself a Colorado National Monument annual pass. I thought that was cool until the Ranger at The Arches National Park told he would take the money I spent on it and add it to upgrade me to National Park Pass good for any park, anywhere.

With so many parks with a day's drive or less, from Junction, everyone should own of these dudes. It's worth every penny. With park admission anywhere from $10 to $25 a car load, if you venture out just a few times, it pays for itself.

Not sure what parks are nearby? The park service offers a "Find A Park" link on their website. Trust me, there are several in our neck of the woods.

The pass is good for 12 months from when you purchase it too. That's cool. Now that I have my new card in hand its time to hit the road. The pass gets you into more than the parks. National Wildlife Refuges, National Forests and grass lands, and other federally regulated preserves, and more, and they're all yours with the card. Needless to say, the money goes back to preserving these amazing places. Anyway, to look at it, it's a good deal. Get yours today!
