Wildfire Forces Evacuations in Black Forest Near Colorado Springs [LIVE COVERAGE/UPDATED]

The hot dry weather that Colorado is experiencing this week has lead to multiple wildfires across the state.

Black Forest Fire

According to the El Paso County Sheriff there is a 15-acre fire burning in the Black Forest area which started Tuesday afternoon.

[UPDATE] 10 homes on fire, fire is spreading south. Aerial support is on the way, ground crews already there and more on the way.

Big Meadows Fire

A fire that broke out Monday afternoon on the west side of Rocky Mountain National Park remains at two to three-acres.Two to three-acres are still burning on the western side of Rocky Mountain National Park from the fire that broke out on Monday.

Royal Gorge Fire

A 200-acre wildfire broke out early Tuesday near Canon City just south of Royal Gorge.

Near C-470 + University

Firefighters were able to contain a small grass fire on the south side of C-470 and University Boulevard.
