Why Do We Care About Sports? Get Ready for the Wildly Confusing Science
So, your team is in the midst of a five-game losing streak, your best player is out for at least two weeks after spraining his knee and the GM won't pull the trigger on a trade.
Chances are you're not happy.
Americans love their sports, whether it be pro, college or high school. Heck, we even filter our passion down to the pee wee level. But why, exactly, do we pour so much energy into following our favorite teams?
This video may help answer that question. Then again, you may need to watch it a few times. Some of the information is harder to grasp than an NFL team's playbook and comes across quicker than LeBron James breaking down the court for a two-handed dunk.
But, it's a start. Now, if only your GM could show some passion and make a move to get you guys back into contention.
