Which Star Trek Captain Would Make the Best Mentor? [POLL]
Star Trek fans were recently surveyed and asked "which Star Trek captain would be the best mentor"? Would Captain Kirk be a great mentor, or is he more a "wingman" for picking up girls? Is Janeway too set in her ways to be a good role model? Some fans actually thought she was bipolar. If you had to choose between Kirk, Picard, Sisko, Janeway, or Archer, who would you want for a mentor? The official results may surprise you.
Finishing far in the lead, our own Captain Jean-Luc Picard with a staggering 50% of the vote.
In second place, our heroine, Captain Kathryn Janeway, at 19%.
Coming in third, the individual many of you probably thought would score a landslide victory, Captain James Tiberius Kirk, with a humble 16%.
Captain Sisko performed poorly in this contest, finishing with only 9% of the popular vote. In all fairness, he gives off an aura suggesting he would rather hang around a smokey Jazz club rather than mentor young minds.
Lastly, the guy who probably could have just stayed home and done as well, Captain Jonathan Archer, with a dismal 5% of the vote.
Somebody needs to get Captain Archer one of those little silver earbuds like Uhura wore on the original Star Trek.... they work a lot better.
So there you have it, the results from StarTrek.com. What do you say? Do you agree?
