The Grand Junction Parks and Recreation department offers summer camp activities each year and registration for these will open on April 1st. With the summer break for local schools on the way these camps are a great and safe fun filled camp for kids.

The SCORE camp offers recreation for everyone and will be a cool place to be this summer. The camp will began on May 28 and will be based at Chipeta Elementary School. The camp is open to all kids aged 6-12 and offers basketball, football, swimming, soccer and many more.

Swim camp will open on June 24 and is open to all kids aged 8-14. Spend the summer in the pool with tons of activities including diving, snorkeling, games and more. Swim campers can swim the rest of the day after camp at either Lincoln Park or Orchard Mesa pools.

The indoor rock climbing camp will start on June 3 and is open to everyone eight and up. Regardless of experience or ability climbers will focus on team work, problem solving, personal development and fun. Campers will need to bring a lunch daily but healthy snacks and drinks will be provided.

The Junior Golf After School Camp will began on April 1st and will be held at the Lincoln Park course. The camp is open to kids 7-15 and will focus on rules, etiquette, full swing and the basics of the game. The camp is limited to 24 paid participants.
