Her grandfather, Herman W. Vorbeck was on the Grand Junction football team in 1903 and was interested in photography, according to her Facebook post.

Nothing Around As Far As the Eye Can See on Highway 50

In his collection, Karen found a picture of Highway 50 from1906. The picture shows two people standing in front of their car on a narrow dirt road with nothing around as far as the eye can see, but some planks of wood.
