I've been curious lately about what Grand Valley restaurants the locals are recommending to visitors and now I know.

When it comes to food and restaurants, 'beauty is in the eye of the beholder,' and 'one man's trash is another man's treasure." But, if enough people say good things about a restaurant, it definitely gets you curious and makes you think it's worth checking out.

A Colorado Reddit contributor recently mentioned he was planning to come to Grand Junction with some buddies to do some hiking and wondered where a good place to eat would be. Quite a few locals responded and here's a look at what they had to say.

Old Man Grill - "Best breakfast or burgers in town" (7th and North)

Namaste - "Amazing Indiana and Nepalese and well worth the trip for the lunch buffet" (Orchard Mesa)

Berna B's - "Great breakfast/lunch" (29 Road & Patterson)

No Coast Sushi - "Great sushi"  (1st and North)

Hot Tomato - "Great pizza" (Fruita)

Las Marias (7th and Main)

Bistro Italiano - "The gnocchi funghi is like nothing I've ever had anywhere else" - (Main Street)

Palisade Brewery - "Great food and beer" (Palisade)

Pablo's Pizza (Main Street)

Golasas (2958 North Avenue)

Taqueria Guadalajara (683 Horizon Drive)

Randy's- "Best local diner"  (Orchard Mesa, North Ave, Clifton)

From this list, there are several of these restaurants I have never visited, but after seeing these recommendations it looks like I'm going to be trying out some new restaurants in the very near future.
