Western Colorado bands are coming out in force to support another local group which recently fell victim to thieves. Grand Junction's Zolopht had their music gear stolen while on tour in Houston. Various local groups will unite this Saturday for a number of fundraising concerts.

Zolopht had made their way to Texas when their equipment was stolen. While they were able to recover their van and trailer, the band has not had their equipment returned. Total losses come in at $23,355.99.

Saturday morning, July 30, starting at 10, a number of groups will perform benefit shows at Roasted, the coffee house at 5th and Colorado. The show, entitled "Save Our Zolopht" consists of two segments. Saturday morning's acts at Roasted include:

  • The Goodman Band
  • Tyler Hawkins
  • Flat Top Reed
  • Ryan Harrison

Music will continue until 1 p.m., at which time the festivities will relocate just a few doors north at Sabrosa. Music will run from 1 p.m. to 1 a.m. Acts for the second half of the fundraiser include:

  • Navigators
  • Bobby Hodown
  • Augmented
  • Lloyd Anthony
  • Will Whalen
  • Suckafish
  • The Sweet Lillies

Several bands in Grand Junction and Texas stepped up to the plate to ensure Zolopht had the equipment they needed to fulfill their commitments. Be a part of the next phase by attending the shows coming up this Saturday.
