This celebrity, raised in the great state of Colorado, is on a mission. She wants to make certain we don't "cancel" Halloween 2020. Check out her video message set to music.

That's right, Elvira, Mistress of the Dark, or more accurately her alter-ego Cassandra Peterson, is a Coloradoan. Okay, she was born in Kansas, but she grew up in Colorado Springs, graduating from William J. Palmer High School. It's difficult to believe the Mistress of the Dark is actually a Kansas farm girl, isn't it? Even though she moved to Los Angeles years ago, she still maintains ties to Colorado.

It seems Elvira, often regarded as the "Queen of Halloween" is concerned COVID-19 might obliterate her favorite holiday in 2020. With that in mind, she put together a little number to communicate her agenda, "Don't Cancel Halloween."

Is there any legitimate reason to believe Halloween 2020 is going to be canceled? We recently published a post offering three reasons why this may be one of the best Halloweens ever.

  • The holiday will fall on a Saturday
  • There will be a full moon
  • Daylight Saving Time ends the next day, so we'll gain an hour of fun

NOTE: Somewhere about the middle of the tune Elvira decides to get political. Keep in mind, Elvira, a.k.a. Cassandra Peterson, graduated high school in 1969, and considers herself very much a 60's flower child. You'll spot Peterson at many a political rally. That having been said, this video does not reflect my views or the views of this station. This is simply a fun, silly little video you might enjoy.

The video was published only two days ago, October 12, and has already received over 14,000 views. I would love to be a part of this video going viral. It's catchy, fun, and easy on the eyes. I don't mean to be a pig, but at 69-years-old, Elvira, a.k.a. Cassandra, still has it.

Please check out this fun little video. It's a catchy rendition of a Madonna tune from 1983. You may be saying to yourself, "Since when does Elvira sing?" Cassandra Peterson, back in the early 1970's, moved to Italy where she was a vocalist with the bands Latin 80's and The Snails.
