Rob Zombie's love affair with all things horror has seemingly taken an even more dramatic turn into the deranged with his newest flick, 31. The musician / director has been teasing fans about this movie for over a year now and another trailer has arrived, taking fans further into the vein-splitting madness.

A known lover of the circus, Zombie opens this trailer with the line "Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, children of all ages..." while sepia-toned clips portraying friends in happy moments flood the screen. Stripped of this feel-good moment in a flash, the trailer cuts to five gagged victims, handcuffed with their hands in the air by chains hanging from above.

Speaking into a microphone from a balcony, a man in a powdered wig announces, "Tonight! We are going to play 31!" The gore-fest promptly ensues, showing someone waiting in filthy bathroom stalls with a bat while one character walks forward asking, "Is it huntin' time now?" Later in the trailer, power tools are swung around, striking flesh as blood sprays in all directions.

31 tells the tale of five carnival workers who are kidnapped on the night before Halloween. Forced to compete in a game of survival — 31 — each person must survive 12 hours in the compound as a gang of killer clowns aims to end each unwilling contestant's life.

The film will be debuting for a special one-night-only screening event tonight (Sept. 1) courtesy of Fathom Events. Fans will be treated to special exclusives with music videos for "The Hideous Exhibitions of a Dedicated Gore Whore” and “Get Your Boots On! That’s the End of Rock and Roll" making their premiere at the screenings. More extra features are planned as well and further information can be found here.

A video on demand premiere is slated for Sept. 16 with the theatrical release fittingly set for Oct. 21, just 10 days before Halloween.

Earlier this year, Rob Zombie dropped his sixth studio album, The Acid Warlock Satanic Orgy Celebration Dispenser, which peaked at No. 6 on the Billboard 200.
